  1. Nice additions! By the way, Ringside Angel’s insert card is actually a lenticular image, not an actual hologram. Go on ahead and remove it if you haven’t yet, as there’s a standard cover underneath with a different image of Ms. Suzuki.

  2. You know geelw your wealth of video game knowledge is impressive. How do you know who Ms. Suzuki is? 🙂 When I bought Ringside Angel I knew it featured a famous Japanese wrestler but I didn’t know her name. This is not the first time you’ve made very detailed comments about video games. You know your stuff!

    • Thanks! Back in the 90’s I had a friend who introduced me to a bunch of Japanese Wrestling stuff, including Cuty Suzuki, so that helped me get into some of the wrestling games I’d have normally avoided.

      • The closest I ever game to Japanese wrestling was collecting Kinnikuman (those wierd pink westlers called M.U.S.C.L.E. men in North America) as a kid. A few years ago I almost bought a complete set but the ebay price got up to $300. So I was priced out!

    • lol! That’s very nice to hear stopxwhispering 🙂 Thank you.
My buddy who follows this blog (because I signed him up) says I blab on about nothing at all!
So I’m glad to hear that someone likes my babbling.
And honestly I really do like watching your collection grow and seeing your reviews and comments on your gaming life!
Same with geelw who is the champ for blogging content!

      • Well, thanks again. Hey, all you guys (and gals) are important to people because you’re helping preserve gaming history thanks to your love of physical media. I’m just the cranky old guy who’s been around so long that I happen to have run into two more cool folks who share some of my interests.

        • I’m happy we all share the interest for old games haha ^_^ Most of my friend are not gamers, or only into PS3 or Xbox, I like that too, but I think I prefer the retro stuff, it’s just more interesting! 😀

  4. geelw it looks like we share some of your interests in a big way 🙂 For a long while I always considered this site a publicly facing diary, never expecting anyone to visit other than myself.
You two (geelw and stopxwhispering) have made this much more fun!
I’m sure I’ve said it before somewhere but I really enjoy seeing your collections grow as much as I enjoy sharing my own.

  5. Just so you are aware there were 7 Sunsoft small boxed Megadrive games…

    Batman
    Flashback
    Lemmings
    Shi Kin Joh
    Super Fantasy Zone
    Tel Tel Mahjong
    Tel Tel Stadium

Just missing Flashback in my collection now.

    • Hey! Thanks Roger 🙂
I have never seen those others games.
I jumped onto ebay and purchased Tel Tel Stadium 🙂
I’m worried about Flashback, looks like it might be expensive to pick up! But I’ll try for sure.
Thanks for putting these on my radar.

  6. Nice one.. Lemmings is not an easy one to track down… I got mine in Japan a few years back.

I did notice that Flashback is quite an expensive one now and one day I will front the cash to get it.

Good luck on your hunt… 🙂

      • Hey Roger,
You completed your set of Mega Drive mini Sunsoft games! Excellent 🙂 The look great.
I just received my copy of Tel Tel Stadium. I looked for Flashback but the cheapest I saw on ebay was $80. Where did you get yours from? Was it very expensive?
I didn’t find Lemmings at all.

        • I paid $60 for mine from France… I am in the UK and that included shipping.

Oddly though the Flashback cart number is T-15083 and the rest are numbered T-15013 to T-15063… so there does not appear to be a T-15073… or was there…?

  8. I received my copy of Flashback over the weekend and was very pleasantly surprised at how much it plays like Abe’s Oddysee! It’s a brilliantly made game and very deserving of your time, even if you can’t find the Mini Sunsoft cart.

    • It’s funny that you left this post. Or timely I should say. Just yesterday I was on ebay looking for an affordable copy of the mini Sunsoft Flashback. It’s still really expensive and I passed on it, again.
I do have the Genesis version so I could play it. I remember playing Flashback on the PC a very long time ago. I was young and I found it to be very hard! But I was in awe of the graphics. So smooth and fluid! It’s great to hear that it’s still a good game. I should give it a go.
