Retro Megabit.com About Banner 01 (Retrobot)email the Sega Dude @ SegaDude@RetroMegabit.com.

The first goal of this site is to share my Retro Video Game Collection with anyone who wishes to see enjoy it :).

Many years ago (~1998-1999) I built and hosted a site called the The Sega Master System Trading Post. I loved it and traded games with a lot of excellent and like minded Video Game Collectors. During these fledgling years of the Internet I made countless trades and without a doubt my collection would not be what it is now without the help all the many Retro Gaming fans out there. Thank you!

I had long since forgotten about my old site until I discovered a lot of other collectors sharing their Video Game collections online. This rekindled my love for running a site dedicated to old Retro Video games.

Within these pages you’ll find a complete listing of games I’m currently playing and collecting. As well as other things that keep me engaged with this hobby; such as modifying and restoring hardware.

For the most part I really love cartridge based systems. My primary interest is with the Sega Master System, Sega Genesis, Japanese Sega Mega Drive, SNK Neo Geo MVS and the Super Nintendo. I’m also into the Sega Dreamcast, Sega Mark III, Nintendo Entertainment System and the TurboGrafx-16.

  1. Do you know if Takeshi no chousenjo (Takeshi’s challenge) was released for the Mega Drive? That was a bit of a nutty (Japanese) game, but I reckon it was only released in Japan. Otherwise, I dig that you have a graphic of Altered Beast show up on top…used to play that at a restaurant in the early 90s. Genesis had its moments, but Dreamcast and its awful controller reeled me in.

  2. There are some very bizarre games for the Japanese Mega Drive but I have not heard of Takeshi no chousenjo (Takeshi’s challenge). I even did a quick search for it.
I did recently get a whacked out game called MR KOMATSU. It reminds me a Turbo Graphics game that I use to play way back in the day (can’t remember the name).

I have a bunch of banners that appear at the top of the page randomly. I think it was just luck that you saw Altered Beast. But I’m glad you liked it! 🙂 I have two that feature that game. It was my first Genesis game and I loved it.
