These two new additions are ones that I have wanted for a long time despite the fact that the Japanese language will prevent me from playing them.
During my original 8-bit and 16-bit days I fell in love with the classic style JPRG. Which is why I really do enjoy adding any pretty looking JRPG to the collection. These two however usually sell for a lot of money. I don’t know why some people think they are worth a lot but the price is why it has taken me so long to get them for the collection.
I was surprised that I could not find a good video to show off the game play of Dragon Slayer II. It’s very much like Phantasy Star or Final Fantasy in that you visit towns, walk around an over head world map and get dumped into random encounters. Basic classic stuff.
I do have the English Genesis version of Light Crusader which is must less expensive than the Japanese version. Light Crusader is a title I never discovered when it was new. This is a game I think I want to put some time into. It looks like it will be a very good.
The drawing of the character on the cover isn’t really that good but over all the entire cover does look very good and I love this new addition.
Dragon Slayer The Legend of Heroes II – $20
Light Crusader – $45
Shipping is included in the cost of both games.
