Here’s the good news. All three new additions are complete and in Excellent condition. Love it 🙂
Fatal Fury 2 is a good solid fighting game. The graphics are very nice even when compared to the arcade version. Street Fighter II was the only fighting game that held my attention back in the day but I’m still really pleased to score Fatal Fury 2 for the collection. It’s a quality game and it has some really excellent cover art work.
Quack Shot is also a very good game. Although still unique on it’s own it does remind me of Mickey Mouse’s World of Illusion. I do like World of Illusion better but Quack Shot is still well done. The art work is also good even though it is a bit too cute for my liking. I’d prefer it if everyone thought of the Sega Dude’s collection as bad-ass! OK?
Gambler Jiko Chushinha Katayama Masayuki Mahjong Dojo. I don’t have much to say about this one except it must have the longest title of any Mega Drive game ever. Maybe of any video game ever? And as a non Japanese speaking person I can also say it really sucks. Maybe it’s good if you know the language, but I don’t think so. It seems to be almost all text. Maybe it’s about gambling at mahjong?
OK, there one thing it has going for it. I’ve always liked it when a game uses different art on the cartridge compared to what it uses for the cover. Too bad the art isn’t very interesting.
This game is here to do its part and fill the back rows of my collection. It might never be seen again.
I’ve just noticed that not having much to say about a game is a lot more than what I have to say about the games I do like…
Gambler Jiko Chushinha Katayama Masayuki Mahjong Dojo
Fatal Fury 2 – $17.00
Quack Shot- $12.00
Gambler Jiko Chushinha Katayama masayuki Mahjong Dojo – $3.00
Plus $10.80 for shipping for all three. Which is close to $14 per game… and only one of them is rubbish.
I thought you already had Quackshot. I remember really enjoying it… though much more difficult that Mickey Mouse. I also you thought it would be funny if i bought world of illusion thinking the game would suck… some friend. Turns out the game rocked!
I’m thinking of expanding my collection into retro gaming systems. I have a lead on an Intellivision. I’m interested in Colecovision, Vic 20, Commodore 64 (just the keyboard)… What else am i missing?

Oh, that’s far from the longest Japanese game title (Chō Aniki: Kyūkyoku Muteki Ginga Saikyō Otoko might be longer, but I’m too lazy to count the letters and Tohoku Daigaku Mirai Kagaku Gijutsu Kyodo Kenkyu Center Kawashima Ryuta Kyoju Kanshu: Motto Nou wo Kitaeru Otona no DS Training is DEFINITELY longer}, but it is pretty darn long! I don’t have that particular mah-jong game, but I do have MahJong Cop (detective mah-jong!) and some other game with a pink cover (I think it’s a dating sim/mah-jong game). Shanghai 3: Dragon’s Eye doesn’t count because it’s a straight up matching puzzle game that happens to use mahjong pieces. That game is in English if you happen to see it and are wondering.
Quack Shot is cool and a classic- I thought I wouldn’t like it when I first played it ages ago, but it’s fun to blaze through a few times and that music during the last boss fight is funny (well, I think so). Fatal Fury 2 was one of the better SNK ports on the Genesis/MD (at least I think so), but I’d always wanted to see stuff like Magician Lord or Metal Slug pop up as 16-bit games… ah well…
